At Happy Out Coffee, we believe that coffee and tea are more than just beverages – they’re moments of connection. Whether it’s starting the day with a rich, aromatic brew, enjoying a pick-me-up in the afternoon, or winding down with a soothing cup of tea in the evening, we’re here to make each moment special. That’s why we are committed to sourcing only the finest quality coffee from sustainable and ethical farms around the world, ensuring that every cup not only tastes great but does good, too.

Founded by Vic and Alex, a fabulous queer couple with a passion for speciality coffee and creating inclusive spaces, Happy Out Coffee began its journey on wheels. Our beloved coffee truck quickly became a familiar sight at festivals, markets, weddings, and corporate events across Ireland and Northern Ireland, where we served up our gourmet coffees, ethically sourced teas, and delicious baked treats.

Our coffee truck wasn’t just a way to get great coffee on the go – it became a community hub, where people could relax, chat, and enjoy a quality cup, all while soaking in our friendly atmosphere and nostalgic 90s playlists. Over time, our reputation grew, and so did our dreams.

Now, we’re proud to open the doors to our sit-in and takeaway café at City East, Newtownards Road, Belfast. Here, you’ll find the same great speciality coffee, tea, and treats, served with the same warmth and passion, but with the added bonus of getting to sit down! Whether you're a local looking for a cosy spot to work, or a visitor wanting a quick grab-and-go coffee, our café is designed to be a welcoming space for everyone.

From the first pull of espresso in our truck to the creation of our new café, the journey has been one of dedication, growth, and an unwavering commitment to quality. Our mission remains the same: to provide you with the best coffee and tea, delivered with care for both the people and the planet. We’re thrilled to continue serving our community, both from our café and our trusty coffee truck, which is still out and about at festivals and events across the country.

 We currently operate from two fantastic locations, each offering its own unique vibe and experience.
